Beat butter and sugars until creamy. Beat in eggs, one at a time until completelycombined. Add vanilla and water; blend well.2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually stir into butter mixture. Stir inchocolate morsels and nuts (if desired).3. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets, about 2 inches apart.Bake 12-15 min or until crisp and golden brown. Cool on wire racks.
