It taste disgusting compared to usual.

I’ve bought creamfields mozerella before and it was okay. Bought it a couple days ago to add into my pasta. It’s in date and kept in the fridge. When I as popping it into my pasta I usually nibble a little bit whilst putting it in and it had a very almost alcohol like taste. It just want right. I checked the date on it and it was in date I bought it 2 days ago! I asked my family to tast it aswell and they had the same disgusted reaction as I did. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this.
