Can't Keep Up With Other Costa Rican Coffees

It's one of the worst tasting Costa Rican coffees I've tried. In fact, it doesn't taste anything like any other Costa Rican coffees I've had. It's a fairly mid-quality coffee with a fairly low acidity, but still leaves a somewhat bitter and earthy aftertaste (like cheaper coffees). As it aerates - its flavor doesn't improve (unlike good coffee that gets better and better as it sits in the cup). As it sits it gets more acidic, bitter, and earthy -- like a cheap coffee would.
