Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat butter and sugars untilcreamy. Beat in eggs, one at a time until completelycombined. Add vanilla and water; blend well.2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually stir into buttermixture. Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts (if desired).3. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets,about 2 inches apart. Bake 12-15 min or until crisp andgolden brown. Cool on wire racks.
