Cooking instructions
You Will Need: 1 lb lean ground beef; 1/4 chopped onion; 1 - 6 oz can tomato paste; 8 sandwich buns. Directions: 1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onions on high heat until beef is thoroughly cooked and onions are soft, drain and return to skillet. 2. Mix packet contents with 1 cup warm water in a bowl, stirring until completely dissolved. Add tomato paste, mix well, then add to beef mixture. 3. Simmer for 5 minutes or until desired thickness is reached. Makes 8 sandwiches. Chef Suggests: For a vegetarian Sloppy Joe, use a meat substitute such as textured soy protein and cook as indicated above.
