Cooking instructions
Preparation Instructions: Stove Top: 1. Combine 1 cup rice and 2 cups water in a 3-quart saucepan. 2. Bring contents to a boil. 3. Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for 15-20 minutes or until water is absorbed. 4. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes before serving. Microwave (Cooking times may vary due to differences in microwaves): 1. Combine 1 cup rice and 2 cups water in a 2-quart microwave-safe dish. 2. Cover and microwave on high for 5 minutes. Reduce setting to 50% power, microwave for 15-20 minutes. 3. Remove from microwave and let stand covered for 5 minutes before serving. Cooking times may vary due to differences in microwaves. Rice Cooker: Use the same water-rice ratios as for the stove top instructions. To retain vitamins, do not rinse before or drain after cooking.
