Keep frozen. How to Cook: Cooking times may vary depending on your equipment. Stove: Follow the stove cooking chart below. Place desired amount of peas in saucepan with water. Use large pot for 1/2 package or more. Cover; bring quickly to a boil. Stir gently; reduce heat and cook gently. Drain carefully. Season to taste. Stove Cooking Chart: 1/8 Package Peas; 1/2 cup water; 3-4 min cook time; stir one or two times. 1/4 Package Peas; 1/2 cup water; 4-5 min cook time; stir one or two times. 1/2 Package Peas; 1 cup water; 5-6 min cook time; stir often. Full Package Peas: 1 cup water; 6-8 min cook time; stir often. Microwave (1100 Watt) (Lower wattage microwave ovens may require more time): Place desired amount of peas in microwave-safe container with 1/2 cup water; cover. Cook on high according to microwave chart. Allow for standing time. Drain. Season to taste. Microwave Cooking Chart: 1/8 Package Peas: 4-5 min cook time; stir after 2 min; 3 min standing time. 1/4 Package Peas: 8-9 minutes cook time; stir after 4 min; 5 min standing time.
