Cooking instructions

Savory Chicken & Wild Rice: What you will need: Chicken; Mushrooms; Chicken stock; Peas. Fast-cook directions: 1 pkg. meal mix; 1 1/4 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs; 1 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms; 3 1/2 cups chicken stock; 1 pkg. (10-12 oz) frozen peas, thawed. (1) add contents of meal mix, chicken stock and mushrooms to multi-cooker. Stir to combine. Nestle chicken thighs into the mixture. Close and seal the lid. (2) Cook on manual high pressure 22 minutes. Natural pressure release for 12 minutes. (3) Release remaining pressure according to manufacturer’s directions. Carefully open the lid. Shred chicken, add peas (if using) and stir to combine. Slow-cook directions: 1 pkg. meal mix; 1 1/4 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs; 1 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms; 4 cups chicken stock; 1 pkg. (10-12 oz) frozen peas, thawed (optional). (1) add the packets, chicken stock and mushrooms to a slow cooker. Stir to combine. Nestle the chicken thighs into the mixture. Cover and cook on low for 3 1/2 hours. (2) Add the rice, stir to combine, and cook an additional 2 hours. (3) About 15 minutes before end of cook time, remove chicken and shred. Add to back to slow-cooker and peas if using and stir to combine. Tip: Garnish with fresh chopped thyme or parsley.
