Cooking instructions
White Bean & Ham Hock: What you will need: Ham hocks or ham shanks or diced ham. Fast-cook directions: 1 Pkg. Meal mix. 2 1/2 -3 lbs Smoked ham hocks, 3 cups+1/4 cup water, divided. Ham shanks or 2 1/2-3 cups diced ham. (1) Remove pockets and set aside. Rinse and pick through beans. Add vegetable packet and 3 cups water to a multi-cooker. Stir to combine. Nestle ham of choice into the mixture. Close and seal lid. (2) Cook on Manual High Pressure 45 minutes. Natural Pressure Release for 20 minutes. Release remaining pressure according to manufacturer's directions. Carefully open the lid. Remove ham hocks or ham shanks and cool slightly. (3) In a small bowl, combine remaining 1/4 cup cold water and seasoning pock; whisk until smooth. Set multi-cooking setting to Saute. Drizzle in the mixture stirring constantly until well incorporated. Simmer 3 to 5 minutes until thickened. (4) Set setting to Warm, shred any ham meat, add back to multi-cooker, and stir to combine. Slow cook directions: 1 Pkg. Meal mix. 2 1/2-3 lbs Smoked ham hocks, 2 1/4 Cups water. Leftover ham bone or 2 1/2-3 cups diced ham. 2 1/4 Cups chicken stock. (1) Remove packets and set aside. Rinse and pick through beans. Add beans, packets, water and chicken stock. Whisk to combine. (2) Nestle smoked ham hocks or ham bone into the mixture followed by the beans. Cover and cook for 8 to 10 hours on low or 4 to 6 hours on high. (3) About 30 minutes before end of cook time, remove ham hocks or ham bone and cool slightly. Shred any ham meat, and add back to slow cooker. If using diced ham, add at this time. Stir to combine. Tip: Garnish with fresh chopped tarragon or parsley.
