Cooking instructions

Keep Refrigerated. HOW TO COOK: Cooking times may vary depending on your equipment. Blanching and Shocking: 1. Bring 4 quarts salted water to boil in large pot on HIGH. 2. Remove 1 pound broccoli (1/3 of package) from bag and carefully place in pot. Cook 2-3 minutes or until desired doneness. If ready to serve, drain and season to taste. 3. If finishing preparation later, shock by transferring to bowl of ice water 2-3 minutes, until broccoli is cool to the touch. Drain and refrigerate. Steam: 1. Remove 1 pound broccoli (1/3 of package) from bag and place in steamer basket; cover. 2. Heat about 2 inches of water in wok or skillet to a boil. 3. Place basket in wok. Steam 5-8 minutes or until desired doneness. 4. Remove wok from heat. Using extreme caution, remove lid, avoiding steam. Carefully remove broccoli and season to taste. Try our Pan-Steamed Technique: Heat ¼ cup olive oil, 2 teaspoons chopped garlic, 1 anchovy fillet on MEDIUM-LOW. Cook, stirring 2-3 minutes until anchovy is dissolved. Raise heat to HIGH. Add 1-1 & half; lbs broccoli, & half; cup water and 1 teaspoon salt; stir. Bring to simmer; cover. Cook, stirring occasionally, about 8 minutes or until water is evaporated. Season to taste with black pepper. Chef Tips: Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.
