Cooking instructions

Silver Palate Thick & Rough™ Oatmeal is not like ordinary oatmeal. For best results, please follow these directions. Range top: 1 Servings: Water 3/4 cup ... Oats 1/3 cup. 2 Servings: Water 1 1/4 cups ... Oats 2/3 cup. 4 Servings: Water 2 1/4 cups ... Oats 1 1/3 cups. 1. Boil water and add otas gradually. 2. Reduce heat and cook 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. 3. Let stand, serve when desired consistency is reached. Microwave: The following microwave instructions will work only with a variable powered microwave oven. If you do not cook this product on a low power setting, it will boil over. The bowl capacity must be at least 3 cups/1.5 pt. or larger. 1. For one serving, place 1/3 cup oats in 3 cup/1.5p.t or larger microwavable bowl and stir in 3/4 cup hot tap water. 2. Microwave uncovered on low power for 9-10 minutes or until thickened. Be careful removing the bowl from microwave - it will be hot! 3. Let shand for 1 minute. Mix well before serving. Note: 1000 W variable power microwave oven use. Cooking times may vary depending on wattage of microwave oven. For best results, cook on range top.
