Cooking instructions

Remove all packaging. All appliances vary, the following are guidelines only. OVEN: Heat 1 tablespoon (15ml) of oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and fry the beef for 5 minutes or until evenly browned. Transfer to an overproof dish, add stock or sauce and cover with a lid or foil and place on the middle shelf of a preheated oven for the time specified. (Electric 180degC/Fan 160degC/Gas 4) for 2 1/2 - 3 hours. BOIL: Place the meat in a saucepan and add sufficient water or stock to cover. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 2-3 hours. SLOW COOKER: In a pan add 1tbsp of oil and fry the diced beef on a medium heat until browned and add to the slow cooker. Recipe suggestion - add vegetables to the pan and fry for about 3-4 mins, add to the slow cooker along with a stock of your choice and stir well. Cook on low for 8-10 hours, or on a high for 4 hours. Ensure product is thoroughly cooked and piping hot throughout and the meat is tender. Do not reheat.

Storage instructions

Keep refrigerated below 5degC at the bottom of the fridge. Once opened, keep refrigerated and use within 24 hours and by date shown. Suitable for freezing. Freeze by date mark shown and use within one month. Defrost thoroughly at the bottom of the fridge before use and use within 24 hours. Never defrost in a warm room. Do not refreeze once defrosted.
