All appliances vary, the following are guidelines only. Remove all packaging. Leave steaks at room temperature for 10 minutes before cooking. The Perfect Steak. Step 1. Prepare Leave steak at room temperature for 10 minutes before cooking. Season the steak with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Step 2. Cook steak, SHALLOW FRY: Add 1 tsp of oil to a pan on high heat. Sear on all sides for 1 min. Reduce the heat to medium-high. Cook to taste, turning occasionally. Rare: 4-7 minutes, Medium: 7-9 minutes, Well Done: 9-11 minutes. GRILL: Lightly season with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Place under a pre-heated grill and cook for the times specified, turning occasionally during cooking. Rare: 5-8 mins Medium: 8-10 mins Well Done: 10-13 mins. Step 3. Allow to Rest. Ensure that the surface of the steak is thoroughly cooked. Once cooked, cover the steak, keep warm and allow to rest 1 minute.
Keep refrigerated below 5degC at the bottom of the fridge. Once opened, keep refrigerated and use within 24 hours and by date shown. Suitable for freezing. Freeze by date mark shown and use within one month. Defrost thoroughly at the bottom of the fridge before use and use within 24 hours. Never defrost in a warm room. Do not refreeze once defrosted.
