Oven cook: From Chilled If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly in a refrigerator before cooking.Before cooking: Preheat oven 190°C/Fan 170°C/Gas Mark 5. Remove all packaging and place the turkey leg in an oven proof dish. Brush with oil and season with salt and pepper (optional). Loosely cover the turkey leg with foil and cook in the centre of the preheated oven for 20 minutes per kg +70 minutes.During cooking: Baste twice during cooking and remove the foil for the last 20 minutes to allow the skin to become golden brown.After cooking: Once cooked, remove the turkey leg from the oven, check product is piping hot and no pink colour remain. Cover with foil and leave to rest for 10 minutes before serving.Do not reheat. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only. Safety: Don't wash raw turkey. Keep raw poultry separate from cooked food.Use separate kitchen utensils and surfaces for raw poultry and cooked foods or wash them thoroughly in between use.Wash hands after handling raw poultry.Always ensure product is piping hot throughout and the juices run clear when a skewer is inserted into the deepest part of the leg.Plastic bags can be dangerous. To avoid danger of suffocation, please keep this bag away from babies and small children.
Keep refrigerated. Once opened, use within 24 hours and do not exceed the use by date.Freeze as soon as possible after purchase and always within the use by date. Once frozen consume within 1 month. Defrost thoroughly in a refrigerator and once defrosted cook within 24 hours. Do not refreeze once defrosted.For use by date: see front of pack. Suitable for Home Freezing Keep Refrigerated
