Cooking instructions

To roastBefore cooking: Preheat oven. Top and tail the parsnips. Peel and cut into quarters. Heat oil in a roasting tray in the oven and add seasoning as desired. Parboil the parsnips in a pan of boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain well. Add the parsnips to the tray and coat in the oil. Place tray on the middle shelf of the oven.During cooking: Turn halfway through cooking.After cooking: Check food is piping hot.To roast200°C/Fan 180°C/Gas 635-40 minsTo steamBefore cooking: Top and tail the parsnips. Peel and cut into quarters. Place parsnips in the steamer.During cooking: Take care that the pan does not boil dry.After cooking: Remove carefully. Check food is piping hot.To steam cookModerate heat10-12 minsAll cooking appliances vary.
